Satish Chandra Kaushik was an Indian actor, director, producer, comedian, and screenwriter who died recently on March 9, 2023.
Early life
Satish kasuhik was born on April 13, 1956 in Mahendragarh, Haryana. In 1972, he graduated from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University. He studied at the national school of theatre and the Indian film and television institute.
Career
He is most known for his roles as “Calendar” in Mr. India Pappu Pager in Deewana Mastana, and “Chanu Ahmed” in Sarah Gavron’s 2007 film Brick Lane. He won the Filmfare award for best comic twice, for Ram Lakhan in 1990, and for Saajan Chale Sasural in 1997.
His most well-known stage performance was as “Willy Loman” in the Hindi-language drama salesman Ramlal, an adaption of Arthur Miller’s Death of a salesman. Kundan Shah’s comedic classic Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron had dialogue written by Kaushik. Teere Sang, his 2009 film starring Ruslaan Mumtaz and Sheena Shahabadi, examines teen pregnancy difficulties.
Sridevi’s Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja was his first film as a filmmaker (1993). His second picture was prem (1995), which was supposed to be Tabu’s Debut. Both were box office flops. He kept making movies and had his first blockbuster with Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rahte Hain in 1999.
He won a screen videocon award for co-writing and hosting the television countdown show Philips top ten. Satish Kaushik Vaada in 2005, starring Arjun Rampal, Amisha Patel, and Zayed Khan. Kaushik co-founded Karol Bagh productions with Anupam Kher in 2007, a former NSD classmate. Satish Kaushik directed their first film, Teree Sang.
His next project was to be based on the life of Tansen, with Abhishek Bachchan playing Tansen and Ravindra Jain composing the soundtrack’ the narrative for the film is still being written. Kaushik was promoting Harayan’s film industry and had plans to shoot numerous films there.

Mr. Satish Kaushik was a part of the Rajasthan Film Festival, Jaipur on 28 September 2019. He won the best film actor award for the movie Choriya Choron Se Kam Nahi Hoti.
Personal Life And Death
In 1985, Satish Kaushik married Shashi. Their two-year-old son died in 1996. Their daughter was born in 2012 via a surrogate mother. Kaushik died of a heart attack on March 9, 2023, in Gurugram, at the age of 66. In his most recent Instagram post, he was spotted celebrating Holi 2023 at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi’s home.
